Trinity ended there pre-season friendlies with a comfortable 4-0 win against Appleby in the wet and windy conditions. New signing Mathew Robinson neatly finished a great flowing move by Trinity, after a Rob Needham pass sent him past 2 defenders to slide into the bottom corner, to make it 1-0 to Trinity. The 2nd goal came from a Sam Clayton corner which caused havoc in the Appleby penalty area. The ball landed at Needhams feet, who cooly smashed it into the roof of the net. The 3rd and 4th Trinity goals came from defensive mistakes in the Appleby ranks. Firstly the goal keeper tried to take the ball around a speedy Jay Harper, who tackled him and placed in from 3 yards (3-0) Then Applebys left full back was slow to react to a Trinity through ball which led to Phil (Judas) Brumby rifling home Trinitys 4th
After this win Trinity are in fine form to start the season on Sunday 6th September 10.30am kick off at West Common Lane.
